During the Spring of 2006 the Advanced Photography Class participated in a collaborative project with St Joseph Children's Home. The university photo students taught the children of St. Joseph's basic photo techniques in order to explore common ground and to make connections among participants. Throughout the project, participants sought to create photographs that unite rather than divide.
Making New Connections...
Nick, Rosslyn, Samantha, and Amerisa worked with the children of the Americana Community Center on a photography project. Students used art and photography as a tool to empower voice through teaching, sharing, and learning.
This project resulted in the images being displayed at the Iroquois Library located in South End of Louisville close to the Americana Community Center.
